Through our meetings we aim to:

 Ø      Reach men from all nations for Jesus Christ

 Ø      To reveal the power of Christ to men through the Holy Spirit

 Ø      Offer Christian Fellowship and mentoring for men

 Ø      Bring greater unity to the Christian Church worldwide

 Ø      Equip men to fulfil the Great Commission.    

David Templeman, President of Mojacar chapter and FGBMFI National Secretary for Spain writes:

FGBMFI has been an integral part of my life for over 30 years, and I am thankful to God that it was a great joy for my Father-in-Law and I to go to the FGBMFI Prayer Meetings in Norfolk, which took place just before the Full Gospel Business Men´s Fellowship International Dinners each month.  He has been with the Lord since 1983 - previously he had thought Jesus was a "good man" but came to know Him as his personal Saviour, for which we praise God.


I was used by God to commence a Chapter in Montpellier, the South of France, where we lived for over 4 years, and upon returning to the UK we moved to Wales and I and my wife attended the FGBMFI meetings at Swansea, Llanelli and Neath, hearing some super testimonies of how God had entered into men´s lives and changed them forever. 

In 1998 we decided to move to the south of Spain, and we have lived here ever since; it took many years of waiting on God to lead me to four  men who could "catch the vision" of commencing an FGBMFI Chapter here on the Costa Almerîa of Spain. This became a reality in 2008 and since then we have held monthly meetings in Mojacar, Almeria, Andalucia except for the months of July and August, due to the extremely hot conditions and also family holidays.  The Torrevieja chapter started shortly afterwards, under the leadership of Stuart Handley and Eddie Martens.    

 FGBMFI in Spain began when Bruce Wicks, from the USA, started a chapter in Marbella, but sadly the chapter is dormant at the moment since Bruce had to return to the UK, but we are keen to see the chapter rise from the ashes, as it were.     

Together with like-minded men from the Torrevieja (Costa Blanca South) area, we are actively seeking God to widen the work here in Spain, and are looking for Spirit-filled men, with no hidden personal agendas, who are excited about the possibility of commencing an FGBMFI Chapter in their area, to spread the vision.

FGBMFI is not a Church, it is not attached to any Church nor any type of Church; it is totally independent, it is self-supporting, and seeks only to carry out the vision of its founder, Demos Shakarian, an Armenian dairy farmer, who saw a vision first of men, saddened by the cares of this world and financial pressures etc., and then God gave him a second vision of men with their hands raised in the air, praising God. With that in mind, he started to invite people along to hear Spirit-filled men tell of what God had done and was doing in their lives, i.e. giving a living testimony.

We believe that God will plant chapters in other parts of Spain, where there is a concentration of English-speaking people, who may not normally go along to a Church, but would accept an invitation to attend a Breakfast or a Dinner meeting, where they could be challenged by the 

Holy Spirit to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour, which is the aim of the FGBMFI  - to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and receive the best and only lasting free gift in life.


We are also praying about whether in fact God wants us to plant Spanish chapters, in order to reach the Spanish-speaking people as well, which would be an enormous breakthrough.


“His Banner over us is love”, and we are challenged to "take the good news to all nations" so we are sure there are exciting times ahead, as God is building a people of power.
